Sharda Motor has started construction of its new facility at Chakan, Maharashtra. At this facility Sharda Motor will produce various parts for Mahindra & Mahindra.

Dr. Rajadurai has joined Sharda Motor.

Dr. Sivanandi Rajadurai has 30 years of academic and industrial experience in Automotive and Truck industries. He worked with Dr. J.C. Kuriacose at IIT and Dr. J.J. Carberry at the University of Notre Dame, two world renounced catalyst scientists.  He worked as Director of Cummins Engine Company (1990-95), Director of Advanced Product Development, Tenneco Automotive (1995-2002), Emission Strategist at ArvinMerior (2002-2004) and Vice President of ACS Industries (2004-2009). In his role Dr. Rajadurai developed Diesel oxidation catalyst, Systems for ultra low emission vehicles (ULEV), super ultra low emission vehicles (SULEV) and partial zero emission vehicles (PZEV). 
 

Sharda Motor and Ricardo Joined hands.

Sharda Motor Industries Ltd, a major tier-1 supplier, will be working with the UK-based Ricardo, where the latter will help SMIL in implementing independent, self-sustaining and state-of-the-art product development capabilities. SMIL, whose customer base includes indigenous automakers as well as the Indian operations of foreign manufacturers, has chosen to work with Ricardo to develop its R&D strategy, which would support the company’s growth objectives.
